Every Knight is cordially invited – and strongly urged – to attend this and every meeting of the Council. Our work is too important to leave to a few ever-faithful, but over-used, workhorses. The July meeting of the Fr. Wayne Elkins Council begins our new Columbian year. We have a new set of officers, and will be planning our 2002 – 2003 Calendar. We will be setting new goals, community projects, beneficial and charitable programs, and, of course, fraternal social activities. We want input from you and from every Knight of the Council. If you have been less than consistent in your attendance at these meetings – you are not alone. This would be a wonderful time to drop by and to get involved. I promise that you will be warmly received, and that participation in our Council activities will prove beneficial for both you and your Brother Knights. Working our Pancake & Taco Breakfasts, Lenten Fish Fry Fridays, soon-to-be activated Chicken Sundays, Barbeques, participation in Corporate Communions, Fun Days in the Park, Heights Festivals, along with attendance at KC dances, dinners, picnics, and other social activities, serve not only our chief charitable functions, but facilitate a spirit of brotherly camaraderie you can’t buy anywhere. As I begin this term of office as the new Grand Knight, in hopes of forwarding the work of previous GK’s Bill Sullivan and Bill Beardsall, I wish to express my thanks to all who have helped our Council in the past, and to solicit the active participation of the Unseen Knights. Please join us - We need your help. Fraternally, More Information About Council No. 12837
