RCIA

RCIA is an inquiry process for people who are interested in learning more about the Catholic Church.  It is also a journey of faith along which you learn to know Jesus in a deeper way.

It is for:

  • People who have never been baptized

  • People who were baptized in other denominations

  • People who were baptized as Catholics but did not complete the Sacraments of Initiation (which are Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation)

Sponsors

To be admitted to the role of sponsor, a person must:

  • Be designated as sponsor and have the qualifications and intention of performing this role.
  • Be at least 17 years old.
  • Be a Catholic who has been confirmed and has already received the sacrament of Eucharist and leads a life in harmony with the faith and role to be undertaken.
  • Not be the father or mother of the one being confirmed

Journey Through The Bible:

Objective:  An adult Bible Study with emphasis on the Catholic outlook and the application of Bible wisdom to everyday life.  The study looks at the history, culture, politics, and morals of the time and features reading and discussion.  There is no homework. No previous knowledge of the Bible is required.
