Adult Faith Education focuses on the formation and enriching the adults of Saint Catherine of Siena with the selection of topics, presentations, and intergenerational events.

To this end we offer:

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)

RCIA

RCIA is an inquiry process for people who are interested in learning more about the Catholic Church.  It is also a journey of faith along which you learn to know Jesus in a deeper way.

 

It is for:

bullet

People who have never been baptized

bullet

People who were baptized in other denominations

bullet

People who were baptized as Catholics but did not complete the Sacrament of Initiation (which are Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation)

Sponsors

To be admitted to the role of sponsor, a person must:

bulletBe designated as sponsor and have the qualifications and intention of performing this role.
bulletBe at least 17 years old.
bulletBe a Catholic who has been confirmed and has already received the sacrament of Eucharist and leads a life in harmony with the faith and role to be undertaken.
bulletNot be the father or mother of the one being confirmed

Journey Through The Bible:

Objective:  An adult Bible Study using the Collegeville commentary.  The emphasis is on the Catholic outlook and the application of Bible wisdom to everyday life.  We meet every Monday Mornings and Evenings from 9:45-11:00 am, and 7:15-8:30 p.m.  The study looks at the history, culture, politics, and morals of the time and features reading and discussion.  There is no homework. No previous knowledge of the Bible is required.

Tuesday Morning Adult:

Objective: An Adult group that seeks to understand and affect the relationship between daily life and the Gospel.  Strong emphasis is placed on Scripture and Catholic Tradition.  Topics include, culture and religion, the last things, annulments, sacramental life of the Church, Church History, New Testament Writings, apologetics.  Classes are every Tuesday from 9:45-11:00 a.m. We meet in the meeting room.
